My wife and I were first time home buyers about to venture out into the world of home buying. We had spent every Saturday and Sunday for 4 months “dream” shopping by looking at new houses. We finally got to the point were we wanted to buy a house and we wanted to buy one soon. I asked around the office for agent referrals and got Randy’s name and number. I was told that Randy was top notch and he would defiantly take care of us. My wife and I had already picked out a model home we wanted to put a bid on so I figured that this would be an easy job for Randy and he wouldn’t have to do much work. Boy was I wrong! As soon as I gave Randy the address and subdivision name, he was on the phone with the listing agent, taking tours of similar houses in the neighborhood to gain perspective of value, and putting together an idea of what we should offer for the house. This was all in the scope of about 2 days because we had already setup an appointment to write up an offer with the listing agent prior to calling Randy. Randy always kept in touch with us to let us know what he was doing and how we should proceed.
When it came time to write up the offer, Randy took us through the house and pointed out things that we should ask for in the offer, either repairs or things that should be included in the price of the home, things I would never think of. He walked us through the process of putting in the offer and what we should expect from the sellers. There never were any surprises in the process because of the thorough time Randy took on each step.
The one thing that I have appreciated the most in this whole process is what has happened after the sale. You would never expect an agent to contact you after everything was said and done but Randy has been excellent in follow up and has helped us get things completed after the sale and has always been available for any questions or problems we may have.
I was a little apprehensive about calling an agent because that meant I would be committing myself to buying a house, and let’s face it, buying a house for the first time is really overwhelming. Randy is excellent at what he does and because of him, our first time home buying experience was a walk in the park. I look forward to the day that I can refer him to a friend so that they may experience the satisfaction that I had and continue to have when I bought my first home.
Sincerely,
Tyson, Mari, Tayah, and Averi.
